West Ham United can confirm that Patrick Kelly has joined EFL League Two side Doncaster Rovers on a season-long loan.
Kelly and his new teammates at Rovers will look to mount another play-off challenge this campaign having narrowly missed out on a trip to Wembley following a penalty shootout defeat to Crewe Alexandra in the semi-finals in 2023/24.
Part of the Hammers squad that travelled to the United States for their pre-season tour, the Northern Irish midfielder will look to earn his stripes in senior football under the tutelage of compatriot Grant McCann.
Joining from Coleraine in July 2022, Kelly has played a crucial role in the Academy's success over the past two campaigns. His solid performances in the centre of midfield helped the young Hammers secure a historic U18 Premier League South and FA Youth Cup double in 2023. In his first campaign with the U21s, the 19-year-old also helped guide West Ham to a second place finish in the 2023/24 Premier League 2 regular season.
Everyone at West Ham United wishes Patrick all the best in his first loan spell, and we look forward to seeing his continued development with Doncaster Rovers.
