Oona Siren is a West Ham United player!
The 23-year-old Finland international was announced as Rehanne Skinner's eighth signing of the summer transfer window on 12 September.
The midfielder will wear the No4 shirt for the Irons, and will be hoping to settle into life in east London as quickly as possible as she makes the move away from Scandinavia for the first time in her footballing career.
Siren joins from LSK Kvinner where she made 19 appearances in the women’s Toppserien, the top division of Norwegian football, providing four assists.
Before joining the Lillestrøm-based outfit, Siren played for Finnish top division sides Tikkurila Palloseura [TiPS] and Kuopio Palloseura [KuPS]. During her time with KuPS, she won Kansallinen Liiga titles in both 2022 and 2023, also appearing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying rounds on six occasions.
On the international stage, Siren has represented Finland a total of 14 times since making her senior debut against Slovakia in April 2023. She was part of the squad that defeated Scotland on penalties to win the 2024 Pinatar Cup earlier this year and has also featured in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
