West Ham United can confirm that young defender Michael Forbes has been recalled from his loan spell with EFL League One team Bristol Rovers.
The 20-year-old joined the Pirates at the start of the 2024/25 campaign and featured in 12 fixtures in all competitions, including seven in League One and in two FA Cup wins for Rovers.
Forbes had recently earned a place in the starting line-up, making consecutive starts in the December fixtures against promotion contenders Birmingham City and Wrexham. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury sustained during their 1-1 draw with Wrexham led to a mutual decision between the two clubs for Forbes to return to West Ham United.
The Northern Ireland international will now continue his rehabilitation and development at Rush Green with West Ham United U21s.
