Matchday Gallery | Women's team lose out in final match of 2024

West Ham United womens team were on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

The home side started the contest the better of the two team, with former West Ham forward Adriana Leon opening the scoring after just four minutes.

However, Skinner's side responded on 21 minutes when Katrina Gorry did well to whip in a ball to the back post that Viviane Asseyi emphatically headed home from close range.

Just before half-time, Leon added her second of the match to put the home side ahead once again.

Despite several chances in the second half, Kenza Dali fired in a third for Villa eight minutes from time as the Irons were beaten on the road.
