Matchday Gallery | Women's team face Portsmouth in Women's League Cup

West Ham United women's team host Portsmouth in the Women's League Cup on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers begin the competition at Chigwell Construction Stadium and Rehanne Skinner has elected to make nine changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Liverpool at the weekend.

Manager Skinner has handed competitive debuts to Oona Siren, Marnie Morrison and Ruby Doe for the cup clash in Dagenham. Professional Game Academy [PGA] players Morrison and Doe joined the Hammers at the end of July from Arsenal, and have been rewarded with their first starts this evening.

Meanwhile, Siren gets her first taste of competitive action in Claret and Blue since joining from LSK Kvinner FK towards the end of the summer transfer window.

After a quiet opening ten minutes, Seraina Piubel opened the scoring after cleverly finding space in the box and finishing for her first in Claret & Blue.

On 25 minutes, Portsmouth drew level from the penalty spot, with Megan Hornby sending Megan Walsh the wrong way.

However, before half time, Emma Harries chipped the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper to restore the lead.

After the break Viviane Asseyi came off the bench and score two quickfire goals, before Harries added her second of the game to give Skinner's side a commanding lead.
