It was a night to remember for West Ham United women's team as they got their Women's League Cup campaign off to the best possible start with a 6-1 win over Portsmouth on Wednesday.
The Hammers went ahead through Seraina Piubel's first goal for the Club, before the visitors pulled a goal back from the penalty spot through Megan Hornby.
Rehanne Skinner's side restored their lead just before the break through Emma Harries, before a glut of goals were scored by Asseyi and Harries just after half time to bring the score to 5-1.
Substitute Riko Ueki added a sixth for the Irons late on to secure their biggest win since April 2021.
