West Ham United were beaten 5-0 by Liverpool at London Stadium in our final game of 2024.
Three goals in the final 15 minutes of the opening half fired Arne Slot's men into a commanding position by the half-way stage, then two more in the second period completed the scoring.
Luis Díaz shot them into a 30th-minute lead, finishing from 15 yards after his attempted through ball to Curtis Jones bounced off Vladimír Coufal and back into his path.
Then, ten minutes later, Mohamed Salah worked the ball across to Cody Gakpo inside the box and the Dutchman found the net from close range.
A minute before the break it got worse for the Irons as Salah got in on the act, shooting inside the near post with his left foot.
The second half started in a similar vein, with Trent Alexander-Arnold's deflected effort netting a fourth nine minutes after the restart.
Diogo Jota added the final insult to Hammers injury, slotting past Alphonse Areola after Salah carried the ball all the way from the halfway line to the hosts' area.
