A summer storm in Jacksonville delayed West Ham United's Stateside Cup tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Northeast Florida was hit by a huge storm at about 4.30pm local time, with thunder and lightning crashing overhead and the pitch being hit with a deluge of heavy rain.

The rain abated and warm-ups got underway, with an initial 30-minute delay announced, only for the inclement weather to return and a 'Code Blue' safety warning to see the pitch and stands cleared as thunder and lightning threatened.

After a further 60-minute delay, the weather improved sufficiently for a 9.05pm local time kick-off to be announced, just over two hours later than the original kick-off time!

Wherever you are in the world, you can stream tonight's game live on West Ham TV via whufc.com and our official mobile app, with passes available for both matches HERE.

Individual match passes cost £4.99, with a two-match pass also including next Saturday's game against Crystal Palace in Tampa available for only £7.99.
