West Ham United were the visitors for Luton Town's first-ever home match in the Premier League on Friday evening, when headers from Jarrod Bowen and Kurt Zouma earned the Irons a valuable 2-1 victory.
The Hammers visited Kenilworth Road seeking a victory that will not only spoil the Hatters' big night, but also take the Londoners back to the top of the table - and they got it after 90 competitive minutes against the determined Hatters.
Luton are back in the top-flight for the first time since 1992, when they and their opponents were both relegated ahead of the start of the first Premier League season.
While West Ham have been back for every season bar four since then, the Bedfordshire side have endured and enjoyed an incredible rollercoaster, dropping out of the EFL for five seasons before climbing all the way back to the top, completing the ride with a Play-Off final win over Coventry City - on penalties - at Wembley in May.
