West Ham United were beaten 3-1 by Manchester City thanks to an Erling Haaland hat-trick at London Stadium.
Bernardo Silva pounced on a loose touch from Lucas Paquetá to send Haaland through for 1-0, as the Norwegian made no mistake when one-on-one with Alphonse Areola on ten minutes.
City kept the pressure up, but the Hammers broke nine minutes later and Jarrod Bowen's low cross deflected off Rúben Dias and past his goalkeeper Ederson.
Ten minutes further on, though, the away side regained their advantage when Haaland ended a spell of possession with a thumping finish from inside the area.
Then, seven minutes from time, Haaland completed his treble when Matheus Nunes sent him in on goal to dink over Łukasz Fabiański.
