West Ham United have it all to do in their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie after falling to a 2-0 first leg defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
Two goals inside the final seven minutes broke the door down on an obdurate display from the Hammers, as Jonas Hofmann and Victor Boniface netted following set-plays to give their side the advantage.
Bayer Leverkusen dominated the ball in the opening 45 minutes at the BayArena, but were unable to break down a resolute Hammers side, with Łukasz Fabiański saving from Amine Adli and Patrik Shick.
At the other end, Michail Antonio battled well against the Bayer backline and sprinted 50 yards before teeing up Mohammed Kudus, although his shot from the edge of the box was saved.
But seven minutes from time the hosts found the key to unlock the Irons' defence, as a corner was only cleared to the edge of the box and Hofmann volleyed home through a crowd of bodies.
Then, in the first of three added minutes, Boniface nodded home a second for the hosts.
