Michael Salisbury has been confirmed as the referee for West Ham United’s Premier League visit to Sheffield United.
Salisbury has been part of the Select Group of Referees since the 2022/23 season and has officiated eight Premier League so far this campaign, most recently refereeing Chelsea's 2-1 win at home to Crystal Palace at the end of December.
Three of those Premier League outings have included the Hammers, with Salisbury taking charge of the Irons' 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest in November and the 2-1 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur in early December.
Salisbury also refereed West Ham’s first match of the 2023/24 campaign, away at AFC Bournemouth, and served as the Video Assistant Referee for the Hammers’ trip to Brentford in early November.
Sunday's referee will be assisted by James Mainwaring and Richard West.
Mainwaring works a second West Ham United game of the week, having run the line in the Irons' FA Cup third round replay away at Bristol City. A highly experienced assistant, Mainwaring has ample experience in the Premier League, running the line at 17 league matches this season, and has also worked across UEFA European competitions.
West, meanwhile, has worked as an assistant referee in the Premier League since the 2008/09 season and worked alongside Salisbury in West Ham's wins over Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur. He has worked 15 league outings this campaign and was also appointed to the 2017 EFL Cup final between Manchester United and Southampton.
Darren Bond will once again be involved in a West Ham United match, working as fourth official. Bond has regularly served leading the VAR team this campaign.
Video Assistant Referee responsibilities will be overseen by Robert Jones. Jones has also officiated in the UEFA Europa League and refereed the 2019/20 EFL League One Play-Off final between Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford United.
