Manuela Paví is West Ham United women's team's latest signing of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Colombian attacker has signed a three-year contract in east London, joining from Deportivo Cali in her native country.

There, she recently helped her former club to the 2024 Colombia Women's League title, scoring two goals in her final match as they lifted silverware earlier this month.

On the international stage, Paví represented Colombia in all four of their matches at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, scoring against France as the South American nation made it to the quarter-finals of the competition, losing out on penalties to current world champions Spain. The forward also represented her nation at the 2024 CONCACAF Gold Cup and, irrespective of her young age, has already become a key member of her national team.

The Hammers' new No11 spoke of her delight at making the move to West Ham United and the Barclays Women's Super League in her first interview with the Club.

I’m very happy to sign for the Club. It’s a dream come true.

Earlier this summer, my focus was on the Olympics, but then my agent told me there was a big team interested in me. I’m from a humble background in Colombia, and he said that West Ham are a similar Club and that they are hardworking. I really identified with that.

It’s going to be a challenge for me, but I think I’m going to fit in really well.

I’m someone who is going to fight for everything. I want to work hard and give my best in everything I do. That is something I know West Ham is known for, which is why I think this is the right Club for me.

I’m so excited for this next chapter in my journey. It’s a big honour for me to be here at West Ham

Playing at the Olympics was a really beautiful experience.

I experienced so many things out there that will help. We got to the quarter-finals for the first time, so I’m proud that we had a good tournament.

I’m hoping my experiences at the Olympics will help me settle in here at West Ham. I was up against some of the very best, so I hope that will help in the WSL.

I can’t wait to show what I am made of here in England and hopefully I will be able to continue to progress.

I’m a very strong person that sets a lot of challenges and works hard.

I want to put everything into what I do every day, and I’m somebody that always wants to do well. The fans can expect to see me fighting for every ball. I promise to always give my best and everything I can for the badge.

I’m so excited for this next chapter in my journey. It’s a big honour for me to be here at West Ham.
