Mackenzie Arnold has been voted the Women’s Hammer of the Year for 2023/24 by West Ham United supporters.
The Claret and Blue Army selected the women’s captain as their Player of the Season after another impressive campaign by the Australian between the sticks.
Arnold was named skipper by Rehanne Skinner at the beginning of 2023/24, and has appeared 19 times in all competitions across the season.
In claiming the honour, Arnold wins the award for the first time, following on from Iceland midfielder Dagný Brynjarsdóttir, who clinched the gong last term. Before that, Kate Longhurst and Gilly Flaherty had both collected the award twice.
West Ham United fans voted in their thousands for the eventual winner of the Women’s Hammer of the Year, with Arnold finishing first ahead of Viviane Asseyi in second, and Japanese international Riko Ueki in third.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Mackenzie on being crowned the Women’s Hammer of the Year for 2023/24.
