A host of West Ham United loanees were in action across Europe, albeit with mixed success in a busy weekend of football…
West Ham United U21 duo Gideon Kodua and Freddie Potts started as Wycombe Wanderers beat Northampton Town 2-0 in EFL League One on Saturday.
Midfielder Potts featured for the full 90 minutes, while forward Kodua played an hour, as a second-half brace from Matt Butcher gave the hosts their eleventh league win of the season.
Wycombe are now 12th in League One and are in good form with four wins in their last five league matches, ahead of their EFL Trophy final clash against Peterborough on Sunday 7 April.
There was also a huge win for midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson as Dagenham & Redbridge beat Maidenhead United 4-1 in the Vanarama National League.
The young Hammer played 90 minutes as first-half goals from Harry Phipps and Josh Rees and second-half efforts from Ryan Hill and former Hammer Lewis Page gave Dagenham their tenth league win of the season.
Appiah-Forson, who made his West Ham United debut in the UEFA Europa League back in 2021, shone in the middle of the park and showcased a beautiful bit of skill in the win too…

In France's Ligue 1, defender Thilo Kehrer played 90 minutes as AS Monaco battled to a 2-2 draw with Lorient to stay third and one point shy of Brest in second place.
Former Chelsea loanee Denis Zakaria was sent off, although an own-goal from Formose Mendy and an effort from Yossouf Fofana gave Monaco a share of the spoils despite playing the final nine minutes with ten men.
Callum Marshall, meanwhile, was an unused substitute as West Bromwich Albion beat Bristol City 2-0 to remain fifth in the EFL Championship.
Further down the English football pyramid, Mason Terry and Concord Rangers fell to a 2-1 defeat to Cheshunt in the Isthmian League Premier Division and remain second-bottom of the table, with one win in their last five games.
Defeats also arrived for fellow goalkeepers Nathan Trott and Krisztián Hegyi - with the latter called up for Hungary U21 across the March International break for fixtures against Moldova and Kazakhstan.
Hegyi’s Den Bosch were beaten 4-1 by Dutch Eerste Divisie leaders Willem II to remain second-bottom, while Trott’s Vejle BK lost 3-0 to FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga.
The division now splits, with Vejle set to compete in the Relegation round as they aim to climb away from trouble.
