West Ham United's loanees were in action over a busy weekend of football...
There was another league victory for midfielder Freddie Potts, who saw EFL League One side Wycombe Wanderers beat Northampton Town.
A third league triumph of the season for Matt Bloomfield's men came courtesy of veteran centre-back Richard Keogh’s strike on five minutes – the only goal of a tight and tense game.
Once again marshalling the space in front of the back three, Potts helped his side to a third clean sheet of the season in all competitions to see out the victory at Sixfields Stadium.
Wycombe now sit ninth in League One, having taken ten points from their first six league fixtures.
Goalkeeper Nathan Trott also saw a victory as Vejle BK recorded their first league win since promotion to the Danish Superliga for 2023/24.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper started the fixture and saw his side come from behind to beat Odense Boldklub 2-1 following an early strike for then hosts through Louicius Don Deedson.
Vejle responded impeccably, however, as Tobias Lauritsen pulled his side level on 20 minutes before Jason-Amin Assehnoun struck the winner eight minutes from time.
Victory ends a run of six straight defeats and moves Trott and company into eleventh.
Academy goalkeeper Mason Terry was also in action and featured in the Emirates FA Cup over the weekend.
The 18-year-old stopper started between the sticks as Concord Rangers drew 1-1 with Wroxham in the first qualifying round on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing due to a 13th minute effort from the visitors, Concord saw Max Hudson’s deflected strike four minutes from time secure a replay.
Terry and company will travel to Wroxham on Tuesday evening for their replay.
Elsewhere, midfielder Archie Woods made his debut for Vanarama National League South outfit Dartford.
Woods appeared as a second half substitute, although he was unable to help his side avoid defeat to Taunton Town after Dave Sims-Burgess struck on the hour.
Midfielder Flynn Downes was also in action on Saturday afternoon but suffered defeat on his first start for EFL Championship Southampton.
The Saints’ first league defeat of the season saw former Hammer Pierre Ekwah strike twice in a 5-0 win for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Southampton have taken ten points from their first five matches, winning three games.
A late deadline day loan for Keenan Appiah-Forson did not allow him to feature over the weekend, although the midfielder could make his debut next weekend when Dagenham & Redbridge face Chesterfield in the Vanarama National League.
Likewise, Kamarai Swyer and Krisztián Hegyi did not feature for EFL League Two Crawley Town and EFL League One Stevenage in Saturday's fixtures.
