Li Mengwen is a Hammer!
The 29-year-old China international has signed on a season-long loan for the women's team, becoming Rehanne Skinner's ninth signing of a busy summer transfer window.
The full-back joins from fellow Barclays Women's Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion, where she spent the 2023/24 campaign and made eleven appearances.
Before that, Mengwen spent a season in France with Paris Saint-Germain, featuring in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with Wolfsburg.
The defender has spent the majority of her senior career in her native China, playing for Jiangsu LFC between 2009 and 2022. There, she helped them to the Chinese Women's Super League title in 2019, as well as three Chinese Women's Cups.
