West Ham United's all-time record Premier League goalscorer Michail Antonio is the latest Hammer to try his luck with the random question generator, picking ten from a list of 100 to answer...
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Las Vegas. I’ve been there five times, and I love it. There’s such a feeling of freeness there. You can do what you want – you can go to the theatre, you can eat what you want, there are pool parties and night parties. Whatever you want, it’s there and available to you.
Who is your idol?
I think that’s got to be Ian Wright. He came through the non-league scene like me, he played for Tooting & Mitcham like me, and he’s gone on to work in TV, which is what I’d like to do. I’ve met him a few times and he’s offered me advice whenever I’ve asked for it, which is really nice.
What would you be, if you were not a footballer?
I would have been either a builder, working with my brother, or a PE teacher. I got into a couple of universities when I was younger, and I was going to do sports science [for a degree]. That was one of the two plans that I had, before football took over.
If you could be professional at another sport what would it be?
It would probably be basketball, in the NBA. That’d give me the opportunity to live in America, and the pay over there isn’t bad either! I’m an LA Lakers fan, but I don’t watch as many games as I would like because of the time difference.
Who is the most famous name in your phone book?
Micheal Ward and Kano from Top Boy, or the YouTubers Yung Filly and Harry Pinero are all up there, but I’m going to have to go with Ian Wright. No-one beats him!
What has been your best moment in football so far?
Winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last season. A lot of footballers reach a good level in the game, but not many can say they’ve won a trophy, especially in Europe.
Would you rather be Batman, Superman or Spiderman?
Superman – that’s easy! Kryptonite would be the only thing that could get me, but I reckon I’d be able to stop it. I’m a Netflix movie buff in my spare time, and I love all the Marvel and DC films.
What was the first and last concert you went to?
The first one was Jay-Z at Earls Court. It was his Encore tour in the mid-2000s, and it was amazing. The last concert I went to was Chris Brown at the O2 Arena last year. I’ve always loved Chris Brown, so to see him live was unbelievable.
What was your first job?
I was a lifeguard at my secondary school, when I was about 16 or 17. It was a very boring job, and it was always so hot, but it was a good hourly rate. I just didn’t get enough hours! I also worked at kids’ parties at the weekends.
How did you get your current squad number, and is there any significance?
The No9 had been available for a couple of years. I didn’t want to change from No30 because it had become iconic to me, but after I’d transitioned more into a forward position, I thought it made sense. I do miss No30 from time to time, but I’ve enjoyed No9 and it’s brought me success.
