Mohammed Kudus has been called up by Ghana for two crucial CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clashes later this month.
The 24-year-old, who has scored two goals in ten appearances for West Ham United this season, will hope to help turn around his international side’s fortunes in Group F, following two draws and two defeats from their first four of six outings so far.
In the first of their two final qualifiers, the Black Stars - who are four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners - first travel to the Estádio 11 de Novembro to take on Angola at 7pm GMT on Friday 15 November. They are then set to host Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium at 4pm GMT on Monday 18 November.
Currently third in the standings, Ghana must win both of their games if they are to stand any chance of pipping Sudan - who are currently five points ahead of them - to second place, and earning a spot at next winter’s AFCON finals.
Defender Nayef Aguerd, who is currently out on loan at Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad, has been called up by Morocco for Africa Cup of Nations Group B qualifiers away at Gabon (7pm GMT, Friday 15 November) and at home to Lesotho (7pm GMT, Monday 18 November). The Atlas Lions are top of their group with four wins from four, and have already qualified for the finals as the host nation.
Elsewhere, Dinos Mavropanos will be looking to help Greece complete their UEFA Nations League Group B2 campaign with a 100 per cent record, after four wins from four so far.
The Euro 2004 champions take on England - who they beat at Wembley in October - in Athens at 7.45pm GMT on Thursday 14 November, and then finish off away at Finland, at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, at 5pm on Sunday 17 November.
Greece are already assured of at least a promotion play-off place, but are currently three points ahead of England in the ranks and will be aiming for an automatic ascension to League A.
Meanwhile, Lucas Paquetá and Brazil are set to return to FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifying in South America, after a positive October that yielded wins over Chile and Peru.
Dorival Júnior’s side currently sit fourth in the ten-team table, of which six qualify automatically for the finals in Canada, Mexico and the USA, and they will next take on Venezuela in Maturín (9pm GMT, Thursday 14 November) and Uruguay in Salvador (12.45am GMT, Wednesday 20 November).
