West Ham United is delighted to announce that Jarrod Bowen has signed a new long-term contract.
The Hammers’ England international forward and UEFA Europa Conference League final matchwinner has penned a new deal until summer 2030.
Bowen has become an influential member of the Irons’ squad since his arrival in January 2020, helping the Club secure European qualification in three consecutive seasons and becoming the first player in over two decades to register ten goals and ten assists in the same campaign in 2021/22.
A versatile, hard-working player, outstanding talent and superb character, the 26-year-old has started the new season in sensational form, scoring five goals and assisting two in nine appearances.
With 78 direct goal involvements in 167 games in Claret and Blue, Bowen has become hugely popular among West Ham supporters, and he is looking forward to spending the prime years of his career in east London.
“I’m so pleased to have signed a new long-term contract at West Ham,” he said. “Everyone knows what this Club means to me, so committing my future until 2030 means so much to me and my family.
“I’ve loved every minute of my time here. Winning the Europa Conference League in Prague was an amazing moment, scoring the winner in the last minute will be something I’ll cherish forever.
“It’s left us all wanting that feeling again and again – we want to create more memories together, for our fantastic fans, and for this fantastic Football Club.”
Manager David Moyes is delighted that his No20 has committed his future to the Club.
“We’re delighted Jarrod has agreed a new deal. It’s a brilliant piece of business from the club to tie him down to a new long-term contract,” he said.
“His goal in Prague will live long in the memory for everyone connected to West Ham – it’s given him a platform to go from strength to strength and we’re really reaping the benefits, he’s getting better and better.
“He’s a fantastic boy and an outstanding professional – I’m sure his positive progress will continue over the course of his new contract.”
Technical Director Tim Steidten welcomed Bowen’s new contract signing.
“It’s fantastic news,” he said. “It’s a sign of the strong position the Club finds itself in when an England international is committing his long-term future to the football club.
“We’re delighted he’s signed a long-term deal and looking forward to him continuing to flourish at West Ham in the peak years of his career.“
Bowen wrote his name into West Ham's history books when his last-minute goal against Fiorentina secured the UEFA Europa Conference League title in Prague in May 2023.
Quick, hard-working, sharp and clinical, Bowen scored 54 goals in just two-and-a-half seasons for Hull City, having joined the then-Premier League club at the age of 16 in 2017. Prior to that, the Leominster-born player had started out with his local non-league club, Hereford United.
Long considered one of the best players from outside the top-flight, Bowen has now established himself at the highest level and made his senior England debut in a UEFA Nations League tie against Hungary in June 2022. Capped four times, Bowen’s outstanding form has seen him called-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad for the October international break.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Jarrod on his new contract and look forward to his future in Claret and Blue.
