Carabao Cup fourth round draw

Irons’ Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal to be shown by Sky Sports

West Ham United’s Carabao Cup fourth-round tie at home to Arsenal has been chosen for live broadcast by Sky Sports.

The Irons will welcome the Gunners to London Stadium on Wednesday 1 November 2023 at 7.30pm.

David Moyes' Hammers entered the tournament at the third-round stage, having been exempt from the second round due to the Club's involvement in the UEFA Europa League this campaign, and defeated EFL League One side Lincoln City 1-0 at LNER Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners, meanwhile, were also exempt until the third round and reached the last-16 courtesy of a 1-0 win over Brentford.

Ticket information will be confirmed in due course.

West Ham have reached the final twice, in 1966 and 1981, losing to West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool on aggregate and in a replay respectively. Arsenal have won the tournament twice, in 1987 and 1993.

The two London sides have met just three times in the EFL Cup, with West Ham winning a third-round tie 3-1 in November 1966, but losing fifth-round ties in 1998 and 2017, the latter coming just weeks after David Moyes had been appointed as Irons manager for the first time.
