West Ham United U18s duo Lanre Awesu and Chinaza Nwosu have been called up to represent England U17s for their upcoming international fixtures in February.
Neil Ryan's Young Lions will travel to Vila Real de Santo António, Portugal, for two international friendlies against the Netherlands as they prepare for next month’s UEFA Euro U17 Elite Qualifying round. England will face Israel, Slovenia, and Northern Ireland in March, with these matches serving as preparation.

Part of Ryan's 23-man squad, Nwosu and Awesu recently starred in West Ham United U18s penalty shootout win over Manchester United in the Premier League Cup quarter-finals. While Awesu saved a penalty to give the young Hammers the edge, Nwosu converted the deciding spot-kick to send Lauris Coggin's U18s into the last four.
Nwosu has plenty of experience at England youth level having represented the Young Lions for the first time at U15s. For the U17s, he has played seven out of their eight games this season, registering two assists from his deep-lying midfield role.
Awesu, meanwhile, is yet to concede a goal for England having kept a clean sheet on debut in the U17s' 5-0 win over Mexico in September and coming on for the final half-an-hour in their 1-1 draw with Belgium in November.
