West Ham United women’s team striker Princess Ademiluyi was on target for England U19s in their Albir Garden Tournament clash with the Netherlands U19s on Wednesday, which saw the Young Lionesses run out 5-3 winners on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
The 18-year-old, who returned to the Hammers in January after spending the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Charlton Athletic, opened the scoring in Spain, latching onto Birmingham City midfielder Ava Baker’s pass before coolly slotting past the Dutch goalkeeper in the 19th minute.
England’s opponents were handed the opportunity to get back into the contest from the spot in the second half, but London City Lionesses goalkeeper Sophia Poor came to their rescue to keep out the penalty.
Although the Netherlands did draw level late on in the game from a free-kick, Lauren Smith’s side chalked up back-to-back victories in the competition with a 5-3 success on penalties, which followed their 2-0 win over the USA on Sunday.
