International Round-Up: Atkinson starts in Ireland victory, century up for Evans

Several West Ham United women's players were involved in international action on Friday evening across the globe. 

Izzy Atkinson played just under an hour as Republic of Ireland maintained their 100 per cent record in UEFA Nations League B1. 

The hosts beat Albania 5-1, with Atkinson starting the match at Tallaght Stadium.

Arsenal's Katie McCabe struck a hat-trick, netting twice in the first half, before adding the hosts' fifth nine minutes from time. 

San Diego Wave forward Kyra Carusa also scored a brace in the second half to secure a rampant victory. 

Republic of Ireland now sit top of Group B1, with three wins from their first three games.

Elsewhere on Friday, Lisa Evans featured for 45 minutes to earn her 100th international cap as Scotland fell to a 4-0 defeat by Netherlands in UEFA Women’s Nations League Group A1 at Goffertstadion in Nijmegen. 

Danielle van de Donk and Esmee Brugts scored in the first half, before a brace for Lineth Beerensteyn completed the win after the break. 

Meanwhile, Viviane Asseyi was an unused substitute as France beat Norway 2-1 in UEFA Women’s Nations League Group A2.
