West Ham United women's team secured their first Barclays Women's Super League victory of the 2024/25 campaign as they beat Leicester City 1-0 in front of their home fans.
Viviane Asseyi scored the only goal of the match deep into first-half injury time after good work from Manuela Paví to set the France forward in behind to calmly take the ball around Janina Leitzig and score the winning goal.
The Hammers were in control for the majority of the contest, creating numerous chances in front of a raucous home crowd that were delighted when the full-time whistle sounded.
