West Ham United women's team turned on the style in the second half of their pre-season match against Bristol City, beating the Robins 3-0 at Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A hat-trick from France international Viviane Asseyi secured the victory on a hot and humid afternoon in east London, as the Hammers performed well in what was Rehanne Skinner's first home fixture in charge of the team.
Skinner's side had to be patient throughout the first half, but grew into the game. Asseyi had missed a number of opportunities before heading home an Emma Harries cross on 58 minutes.
She made it two on 63 minutes when Lisa Evans unselfishly squared the ball for the attacker to slot home. Her third was the pick of the bunch, with Asseyi scoring with an acrobatic bicycle kick!
