Krisztián Hegyi has joined Dutch club FC Den Bosch on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
West Ham United’s Hungary U21 international goalkeeper will gain valuable experience in the Netherlands, where Den Bosch compete in the second-tier Eerste Division.
The 21-year-old, who spent the first part of the season on loan at EFL League Two club Stevenage, is excited by the opportunity to play senior football for the Blue White Dragons.
Hegyi said: “I'm looking forward to starting at FC Den Bosch. For me it is a new environment in which I can show and develop myself. Because the way of playing appeals to me in combination with how the coaches look at the game, I chose FC Den Bosch. I have also heard that Den Bosch is a beautiful city and the club has a beautiful, fanatical following. Those were also important factors in making my decision.”
The Budapest-born stopper could make his Den Bosch debut away at Jong PSV on Monday 15 January.
Everyone at West Ham United wishes Krisztián the very best for his loan spell in the Netherlands.
