West Ham United Women will face Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Charlton Athletic in the group stage of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup.
Tuesday morning’s draw placed Rehanne Skinner’s side in Group E, alongside Barclays Women’s Super League side Brighton and Championship duo Birmingham and Charlton.
The Hammers faced both Brighton and Birmingham in the group phase of last year’s competition, picking up four points en route to topping the table and eventually reaching the semi-finals.
Charlton last went head to head with the Irons in the 2020/21 campaign, when the east Londoners got the better of their south London rivals by a 4-0 scoreline.
Chelsea receive a bye to the competition’s quarter-finals by virtue of their qualification to the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.
Emma Hayes’ Blues will be joined by the five group winners and the best performing runners-up - the number of which is to be determined based on Arsenal’s and Manchester United’s progression in the Champions League and subsequent involvement in the Conti Cup.
The Hammers’ three group games will be played in the midweeks of 11/12 October, 22/23 November and 24/25 January. Full fixture details will be announced in due course.
