West Ham United have been drawn to face AFC Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup second round.
The Irons will host their fellow Premier League club at London Stadium as our EFL League Cup campaign gets underway.
The tie will be played in the week commencing 26 August and full fixture details and ticketing information will follow in due course.
The Hammers and the Cherries have only ever met once before in this competition, back in October 1999 when the then-third tier South Coast club were defeated 2-0 at the Boleyn Ground in a third round tie.
West Ham are two-time runners-up in the EFL Cup, while Bournemouth's best performance has been three journeys to the quarter-finals, the last coming in the 2020/21 season.
Last term, Andoni Iraola's side reached the fourth round before losing 2-1 to Liverpool, while the Hammers' run was ended by the same team a round later at Anfield.
Now Iraola will be set for his first meeting with his fellow Basque Julen Lopetegui on these shores. The pair last went head-to-head in 2022 when the Hammers' Head Coach was at Sevilla and his counterpart was in charge of Rayo Vallecano.
