Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio scored for the Hammers in a see-saw 2-2 draw with Liverpool at London Stadium.
Bowen returned to the starting XI following injury to make his 200th West Ham appearance, and he marked it by breaking the deadlock just before half-time, nodding home Mohammed Kudus' cross following a quickly-taken corner.
Liverpool's Luis Díaz had earlier struck the post in a closely-contested opening half, but it was the home side who had the advantage at the break.
However, it only lasted three minutes into the second period as Andy Robertson squeezed home an equaliser to breathe new life into his team.
Midway through the half, Cody Gakpo struck goalwards from a corner, and the ball deflected off Angelo Ogbonna, Tomáš Souček and Alphonse Areola to nestle in the net.
But, with 13 minutes remaining, Antonio rose in the middle to nod home a Bowen cross and level the contest again at 2-2.
