Goals from Mohammed Kudus and Edson Álvarez earned West Ham United a 2-0 win over SC Freiburg and put the Hammers through to the UEFA Europa League round of 16!
Playmaker Kudus calmly slotted home from Álvarez's precise, dinked pass on 14 minutes to give the Irons the lead, before the Mexican himself grabbed a goal - his first in Claret and Blue - following an expert interchange with Jarrod Bowen.
Lucas Paquetá also hit the crossbar in the first half in an excellent showing for the home side, while Emerson went close to a third early in the second half.
Kudus and Bowen also missed chances to extend West Ham's advantage, but David Moyes' men would claim a comfortable win over Freiburg to secure top spot in Group A.
The victory means West Ham have finished top of a European group for a third consecutive season - only the sixth English club to do so - and will now head into the round of 16 of the tournament in March.
