West Ham United ended an eleven-year wait for a win over Brighton & Hove Albion, and did so in style at the American Express Stadium.
Superb counter-attacking finishing from James Ward-Prowse, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio earned David Moyes' Irons a first-ever Premier League win over the Seagulls, and sent the Hammers to the summit of the Premier League table.
Ward-Prowse was in the right place to turn home from Antonio's cross on 19 minutes before Bowen and Antonio struck in the half. Bowen sensationally controlled Saïd Benrahma's cross to poke home before Antonio coolly finished Bowen's lovely lobbed pass.
Brighton pressed for a way back into the game and, if not for the immense form of Alphonse Areola, might have found it. The hosts did grab a consolation, through Pascal Groß, but all three points headed back up to London with the Hammers.
