Birthday boy Danny Ings took inspiration from Billy Horschel to take the honours in the West Ham United Crazy Golf Challenge in Florida.
Ings did his best impression of Hammers fan Horschel, who finished joint-second in The Open Championship days earlier, as he held off Aaron Cresswell and James Ward-Prowse to win at Congo River in Clearwater.
The striker, who turned 32 on the day of the tournament, rolled back the years to shoot a three under par round of 18 in the nine-hole tournament.
Nine consecutive two-shot holes saw Ings win by four shots from Cresswell and Ward-Prowse, while big-hitting Maximilian Kilman finished fourth, a further shot back on 23.
Keen golfer Ward-Prowse, who celebrates every goal he scores by swinging an imaginary club, had a hole-in-one on the par-two sixth hole, but a four on the eighth cost him any chance of winning the title.
Legend and tournament host Anton Ferdinand also had a hole-in-one on the sixth, but still finished last with a six over par total of 27.
And so it was that Ings was able to celebrate his birthday by adding the Congo River Challenge title to his three England caps and 71 career Premier League goals.
