Amber Tysiak walked through the doors at Chadwell Heath two years ago to sign the first professional contract of her career. Now, the Belgium international is a mainstay, a leader, and a Hammer for at least another three-and-a-half years.
Joining Oud-Heverlee Leuven in January 2023, the 24-year-old previously combined playing football semi-professionally with her career as a teacher.
Opportunities to find her feet in her maiden four months in the Barclays Women’s Super League were limited, with injuries restricting her to just four appearances in Claret and Blue. But a resilient Tysiak staked her claim in the side last term, chalking up 20 appearances in all competitions in Rehanne Skinner’s first season in charge.
Throughout the two years, the centre-back has continued to receive call-ups to her national team and in December, she helped Belgium secure their spot at this summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
The centre-back has grown in confidence with every minute out on the pitch and was rewarded with a new contract, extending her stay at the Club until the summer of 2028.
