West Ham United can confirm that Flynn Downes has joined Southampton on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan at the St Mary’s club, making 37 appearances as Russell Martin’s men won promotion back to the Premier League.
Brentwood-born Downes joined the Hammers in summer 2022 and played 35 games in Claret and Blue, including eleven in our run to the UEFA Europa Conference League title.
