West Ham United quickly turn their attention to domestic action against Fulham on Sunday, looking to build on last weekend's win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and bounce back from defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Hammers came from behind to earn a precious Premier League win at Wolves, with Lucas Paquetá levelling from the penalty spot before James Ward-Prowse scored directly from a corner to complete a second-half comeback.
David Moyes’ Irons will be hungry for revenge having fallen 5-0 in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage in December, a day that was, quite simply, one to forget for those in Claret & Blue.
The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 33 deadline is set for 11am on Saturday 13 April, ahead of a mouth-watering weekend of Premier League football highlighted by a Sunday afternoon derby in east London.
While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2023/24 season on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round…
For the next fixture, all eyes are on James Ward-Prowse.
Consistent Ward-Prowse
James Ward-Prowse (£5.8m) has been a model of consistency for West Ham and FPL managers throughout the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
When Ward-Prowse made the move to the Hammers in the summer from Southampton, it was a transfer nobody expected to fail.
His early season success was incredible, assisting nine times in his first 16 West Ham United games, while, in total, he has scored six goals and provided 12 assists, including a goal directly from a corner against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
Having picked up ten FPL points last Saturday, the 29-year-old will be looking to build on that effort in what is another important game in the race for European qualification.
With top goalscorer Jarrod Bowen a doubt for Sunday’s clash, Mohammed Kudus (£6.8m) could be the man to provide the magic in attack.
The attacking midfielder always offers a threat going forward. He’s quick, direct, skilful and has made a strong impact for the Hammers this season, with 12 goals and six assists in all competitions.
A goal and an assist in the recent 4-3 defeat at Newcastle United saw the Ghanaian accumulate an eye-catching 12 FPL points, and underlined his importance to Moyes’ side.
Opposition watch: Fulham
Rodrigo Muniz (£4.7m) has been a revelation for Marco Silva’s side since Raúl Jiménez’s injury in December, scoring eight goals and providing an assist in his last ten Premier League games.
That form makes him one of the most in-form strikers in the top-flight and has rightly earned him back-to-back Premier League Player of the Month award nominations.
Inside that ten-game run for the Brazilian, he has registered an eleven and two 13-point hauls, and he is sure to prove popular again in Gameweek 33, with nine-and-a-half per cent of picks including the 22-year-old.
Other options include defender Antonee Robinson (£4.6m), who has been a key figure in Fulham’s defence this season. The versatile left-back has strong defensive instincts, while also possessing the ability to deliver accurate crosses into the box up the other end.
He provided an assist for other pick Rodrigo Muniz in a 3-0 win over Tottenham last month, where he earned eleven FPL points.
