James Ward-Prowse

Fantasy Premier League | Gameweek 30 hints and tips

Following a two-week hiatus due to the first international window of 2025, the Premier League returns this midweek, with West Ham United set to kick off British Summer Time with an early spring midweek evening fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.

Having lost just one of their last four top-flight games, West Ham arrive in the West Midlands to take on a Wolves team who sit one place, but eight points, behind their visitors, and can extend the gap that currently exists between the teams with a fourth consecutive Premier League victory over the Old Gold.

Wolves have endured a challenging season, failing to win their opening eight Premier League fixtures to drop to the bottom of the table, but took a big step towards retaining their top-flight status after winning 2-1 at Southampton ahead of the international window and appear rejuvenated under the tutelage of Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira.

The Irons will be looking to complete the Premier League double over Wolves, having won the reverse fixture 2-1 at London Stadium in December, where Tomáš Souček and Jarrod Bowen strikes sealed the points, while we also completed the Premier League double over Wolves last season.

There are still plenty of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points up for grabs for managers who make the correct lineup decisions, such as whether you should use your Wildcard chip now in Gameweek 30 or wait until Gameweek 31, between now and the final Gameweek 38 deadline on Saturday 24 May.

The Gameweek 30 transfer deadline is set for 6.15pm on Tuesday 1 April, ahead of a mouth-watering feast of midweek action.

While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2024/25 season on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round.

James Ward-Prowse

Could Ward-Prowse complete a personal hat-trick of spectacular goals at Molineux?

James Ward-Prowse (£6.1m) has been a key cog in the West Ham United midfield since returning from a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in January.

Last season, our No8 hit 146 FPL points courtesy of scoring seven goals and registering seven assists and five clean sheets, while adding 19 bonus points.

Ward-Prowse could complete a personal hat-trick of spectacular goals at Molineux, having hit the net twice previously at Wolves with trademark set-piece strikes - one for West Ham and one for previous club Southampton.

Having curled in an unstoppable direct free-kick for Southampton back in January 2022, the midfielder scored the winner direct from a corner in last season’s meeting at Molineux, and his next free-kick finish will see the 30-year-old tie David Beckham for the Premier League record of 18.

Meanwhile, after returning from injury in Gameweek 24, goals against Chelsea and Arsenal alongside an assist against Leicester City in three of the last five Gameweeks make Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) a player of interest ahead of West Ham’s fixture with Wolves.

Playing as a striker under Graham Potter, Bowen, who has scored six goals in ten career Premier League appearances against Wolves, can extend his run of influential displays against the Old Gold, who have struggled to keep clean sheets all season, conceding 58 goals in 29 games.

Rayan Ait-Nouri

Opposition Watch: Wolverhampton Wanderers

Three goals and five assists highlight Rayan Aït-Nouri (£4.8m) huge attacking potential.

The appointment of Vítor Pereira has evidently lifted Wolves’ bleak defensive output. Indeed, they have recorded all four of their clean sheets this season since the Portuguese arrived in Gameweek 17.

The Algerian, who is often utilised at left wing back, is priced below £5m, and could prove a source of value against the Hammers.

Elsewhere, with Matheus Cunha (£6.9m) suspended, Norwegian forward Jørgen Strand Larsen (£5.3m) has filled the void left by the Brazilian attacker. He scored twice against Southampton prior to the international break, picking up yet another attacking return with a 13-point haul against the struggling Saints.

Finally, Marshall Munetsi (£5.0m) scored his first goal for Wolves in their last home fixture against Everton, despite being withdrawn at half-time. The Zimbabwean earned eight FPL points on the day.
