Łukasz Fabiański put his ball handling skills to good effect on a visit to reigning British Basketball League (BBL) champions London Lions Men.
The West Ham United goalkeeper is a big fan of the sport and was delighted to accept an invite to join the Lions at their shootaround at the Copper Box Arena on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Fabiański was invited on court to show off his shooting and dribbling skills as the Lions prepared for their EuroCup matchup with BC Wolves from Lithuania.
The 38-year-old then returned to the Copper Box with son Jan for the game itself, although their vociferous support was unfortunately not rewarded as the Lions fell to an 85-80 defeat.
“It’s my first time and I’m really enjoying it so I’ll come back for sure!” said Fabiański, who was welcomed to the game by Lions, England and Great Britain forward Mo Soluade.
“There are a few boys with a big interest in basketball so I’m going to spread the message that it’s actually a great place and I’ll try and bring them down!”
