Details for Women's League Cup semi-final with Chelsea confirmed

Details for West Ham United women’s team’s Subway® Women’s League Cup semi-final tie at Chelsea have been confirmed.

The match will take place at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 5 February, with kick-off at 7pm.

The Hammers secured their spot in the final four of the competition with a 2-1 success at Tottenham Hotspur, and will hope they can defeat another London rival in Sonia Bompastor’s side.

Rehanne Skinner's side qualified from the group stage with a perfect 100 per cent record, scoring 13 goals in wins over Portsmouth, London City Lionesses and Southampton, before coming from behind to defeat Spurs at Brisbane Road in the quarter-finals.

Chelsea was given a bye through the group stage due to their participation in the UEFA Women's Champions League, before defeating Durham 5-0 in their own quarter-final tie. The Blues are unbeaten in all competitions this season, having won 19 and drawn 20 of their matches, scoring 65 goals and conceding 12.

However, all runs have to come to an end at some point, and Skinner's Hammers have been in good form, winning five of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Tickets for what promises to be an exciting knockout tie can be purchased HERE, priced at £10 for Adults, and £5 for U20s.

As well as attending in south-west London, you can watch the fixture on the Barclays Women’s Super League YouTube channel or BBC iPlayer.
