Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history...

West Ham United secured a dramatic late 2-1 win over AFC Fiorentina to lift the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy on this day exactly a year ago, on 7 June 2023!

After a goalless first-half which ended with the Italian side having a Luka Jović header ruled out narrowly for offside, Saïd Benrahma put the Irons ahead from the penalty spot on 62 minutes, after Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi had been penalised for handball.

Just four minutes later, Fiorentina were level when Giacomo Bonaventura cleverly controlled the ball and fired across Alphonse Areola, ensuring a tense final half-hour for both sets of fans.

But, as the match ticked into added time at the end of the second half, the Hammers found the magic moment as Lucas Paquetá played in Jarrod Bowen, who raced away before confidently shooting into the corner with his left foot.
