Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...

Twenty-two years ago today West Ham United were able to celebrate a three-goal mauling of Newcastle United.

The Magpies were left with a long journey back to the north east after West Ham ran riot at the Boleyn Ground.

A Don Hutchison goal after just 18 minutes put the home side in command and they took a giant step towards the points when Paolo Di Canio made it two eight minutes after the restart.

Frédéric Kanouté's third on 82 minutes made the game safe as West Ham climbed from the foot of the early table to 15th. They would end the campaign in seventh position.
