Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...
Two penalties from Mark Noble gave West Ham a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest on this day in 2012, allowing the Hammers to go top of the Championship for the first time that season.
Captain Noble blasted home his and West Ham’s first of the afternoon on the stroke of half-time, after Guy Moussi was penalised for handball.
His second came eighteen minutes after the restart and was awarded this time for a handball by Chris Gunter, where again the No16 made no mistake in dispatching.
Lewis McGugan did give something for the away fans to cheer about in the final minute as he fired home from 20-yards.
But Noble’s goals were enough to lift West Ham top of the league and heap further misery on a struggling Nottingham Forest side.
