Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...
Mark Noble scored twice as West Ham United thrashed Southampton 4-1 in the Premier League on this day, 20 October, in 2012.
The newly-promoted pair met at the Boleyn Ground, where Noble's fortuitous free-kick bounced in to give the Irons the lead a minute after half-time, before captain Kevin Nolan doubled the advantage two minutes later.
Adam Lallana pulled one back for the Saints on 63 minutes before Noble's penalty made it 3-1 on 72 and Modibo Maiga completed a comprehensive home victory with a long-range curler three minutes before full-time.
The Irons' fourth top-flight victory of 2012/13 consolidated West Ham's place in the top ten, while Southampton slipped into the bottom three, having conceded 24 goals in their opening eight matches.
