Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...

Pablo Fornals and Sébastien Haller each netted their first West Ham United goals as the Irons came from behind to beat Hertha Berlin 5-3 in a thrilling pre-season encounter in Ritzing, Austria, on this day in 2019.

With the contest only four minutes old, Hertha took the lead. Pascal Köpke notched the opener, putting the Hammers on the back foot early on.

West Ham looked to bounce back immediately, and duly levelled just a few minutes later. Summer signing Fornals popped up with the equaliser, the Spaniard powering a shot past Thomas Kraft and making it 1-1.

Once again though, Hertha would edge in front. Davie Selke burst into the penalty area, and squeezed a shot past Roberto in the Irons' goal.

But their lead was short-lived, with Manuel Lanzini lashing home a left-footed strike in off the post around 22 yards from goal.

Hertha then seized the initiative on 61 minutes, when Köpke tapped home the rebound after Roberto had parried a shot.

Nine minutes later and there was yet another goal, as Haller scored his first in Claret and Blue with a well-placed header into the far corner to make it 3-3.

Having gone behind three times in the match, and come back three times, it was finally West Ham’s turn to take the lead on 78 minutes through Grady Diangana, before Michail Antonio rounded off a lovely free-flowing move to secure the pre-season win.
