Alessandro Diamanti and Carlton Cole were on the scoresheet for West Ham United as they beat Birmingham City 2-0 on this day in 2010.
Diamanti gave the Hammers the lead with an exquisite free-kick just before the break. The playmaker's curling effort left a youthful Joe Hart with no chance in the Blues goal.
Cole doubled the advantage in the second period with a low-headed finish to hand Gianfranco Zola's side a deserved three points.
