Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, presented by Heineken...

Harry Redknapp's West Ham had already played 15 games before Arsenal visited the Boleyn Ground on this day in 1999.

The Hammers' triumph in the Intertoto Cup and consequent UEFA Cup commitments meant their fixtures were coming thick and fast.

That was no obstacle to an outstanding 2-1 win over the Gunners though, as Paolo Di Canio scored twice and Marc-Vivien Foé saw red as the home side recorded an excellent victory to move up to ninth place in the Premier League.

Redknapp's team went on to finish inside the top ten whilst opponents Arsenal ended the season as runners-up to Manchester United.
