Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...
Liam Brady was on target as West Ham United sent Manchester City tumbling out of the First Division on this day in 1987.
The Republic of Ireland international had joined from Italian club Ascoli in March of that year and already shown his quality for John Lyall's Hammers.
The final day of the 1986/87 campaign saw the Irons safely in mid-table before 40-year-old Billy Bonds jogged out of the tunnel in a shirt and tie to collect his fourth Hammer of the Year award before kick-off.
When the action started, Tony Cottee diverted Hammer of the Year runner-up Mark Ward's shot into the net before half-time. Brady then condemned City to relegation when he dribbled past two defenders and sent a left-foot effort low past goalkeeper Eric Nixon.
Defeat meant City went down and Charlton Athletic lived to fight another day before winning a play-off against Leeds United to stay up.
At the final whistle, the Claret and Blue Army invaded the pitch before serenading the City fans with a chorus of 'You'll be back!', beginning a special relationship between the two groups of supporters that continues to this day.
