Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...

West Ham United handed Blacpkool a 4-0 Championship thrashing courtesy of a three-goal frenzy in eight second-half minutes on this day in 2011.

Norway centre-forward John Carew gave the home side the lead after 12 minutes when he headed home a Julien Faubert cross at the Boleyn Ground.

Two minutes after half-time Sam Baldock doubled the lead, before the diminutive striker grabbed his second just four minutes later when the striker raced onto a Matt Taylor pass to place a low shot past goalkeeper Matt Gilks.

Midfielder Jack Collison completed the rout after 54 minutes when his volley took a deflection and left Gilks with no chance.

The win moved Sam Allardyce's Hammers up to second in the Championship table, although they would ultimately finish third and achieve promotion back to the Premier League via the Play-Offs, incidentally defeating Blackpool 2-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium in May 2012.
