West Ham United's journey to the 2006 FA Cup final began at Carrow Road on this day 18 years ago.

The Hammers scored a 2-1 third-round win over Norwich City to begin a challenge that would ultimately end with a penalty shootout defeat by Liverpool in the final.

Hayden Mullins thumped the Irons into a sixth-minute lead before Bobby Zamora's header made it 2-0 to the Premier League side 12 minutes after half-time.

Paul McVeigh pulled a goal back from the penalty spot on 72 minutes after James Collins had been penalised for handball, but Alan Pardew's side held on to secure their passage to the fourth round.
