The boss led West Ham United to a superb first month of 2023/24 Premier League football, with the Irons earning two impressive 3-1 wins and a draw in the opening three matches of the campaign.
A 1-1 draw away to AFC Bournemouth on the opening day of the season was followed by an impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea at London Stadium, as Nayef Aguerd, Michail Antonio and Lucas Paquetá netted in a superb London derby victory.
A trip to Brighton & Hove Albion concluded August for the Hammers, with Moyes' men ending an over-decade long wait for a victory against the Seagulls. James Ward-Prowse, Jarrod Bowen and Antonio all scored in an excellent win on the South Coast.
The three results temporarily put West Ham top of the Premier League table and saw the Hammers end August second in the league, only behind Manchester City.
City boss Pep Guardiola has also been nominated for August's award, as has Arsenal's Mikel Arteta, Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool and new Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou.
